FUZZY WHO ?
About the artist
Okay, here's where I interview myself - weird.
I'm not schizophrenic but my other self might be !Q : Who are you ?
A : Nathan Jon Tillett aka Fuzzy
Q : Why are you doing an "about the artist" section ?
A : Because when I view other artist's websites, I like to find out a little about them,
it helps build a better picture so I thought I ought to have something similar myself.Q : Where are you from ?
A : From Devon in the UK, near the famous Dartmoor National Park
(Hound of the Baskervilles, standing stones etc.)
and the Historic waterfront City of Plymouth
(Sir Francis Drake, The Hoe, Pilgrim Fathers etc.).
I've lived here all my life and still love it.Q : What do you do ?
A : I work in computer aided design for an engineering company, producing drawings
and product visualisations in both 2D and 3D, plus a little graphic design and artwork.
Most of my spare time is gobbled up with maintaining this website and producing new
artworks, but I also create mellow spacey guitar/synth music and play badminton, plus
I really enjoy camping with friends and a good beer !Q : What's with the "Fuzzy" thing ?
A : Its been my nickname since my teens and comes from a classic 70's cult cartoon
but enough about that !
Anyway, it kind of stuck, and now fits me like an old comfortable slipper !
Q : Why did you call the site "Fuzzy Planet" ?
A : Well, people often take one look at my work and ask "what planet are you from ?" !!!
Q : Why are you doing this website ?
A : I've been drawing and doodling from a very early age and found it a natural progression
to move into computer graphics and ultimately 3D modelling. By 2001, I had compiled a
fairly substantial number of artworks that I'd never really shown to anyone and I became
curious as to what other people might think of them.
I took some time out to learn a little web design and html and then nervously published my
first version of Fuzzy Planet on 1st March 2001.
Things were fairly slow at first but before long, I started getting guestbook entries and emails
from people all over the world offering feedback, criticism and encouragement.
As well as being a terrific personal boost, this also solved my previous pitfall - motivation.
I'm now fully fuelled to continue exploring my art and expand the scope of this website,
who knows where it will all lead (if anywhere) but I'm sure I'll enjoy the ride.Sincere thanks to everyone who has taken the time to offer their comments, it means a lot.
Cheers !"Fuzzy by name, Fuzzy by logic"
